- Description: Dating from the early Proterozoic era (approximately 2.5 billion years ago), the Marra Mamba Iron Formation specimen has a broad chatoyant band that has been ground and polished into a shell and has a wavy, fire-colored coloration; the bottom is sanded flat for display. This bowl is particularly thin, which makes it a rarity.
