- Description: 50 million year old flower of the Sabalites sp. with well-preserved delicate fronds, in original matrix, the edges are cut straight and form a large rectangular plate. In addition, around 22 fish of different species can be seen on it (e.g. Diplomystus dentatus & Knightia eocaena). This combination is truly unique.
- Additional Information: The Green River Formation in Wyoming, USA, is home to some of the best-preserved Eocene fossils on Earth. The diversity of the sea during this period is well captured in the present fossil triptych, which contains more than a dozen specimens of three of the most famous extinct fish species from the Eocene - the large Diplomystus with its sloping head, the Priscacara with its broad ray fins and the little Knightia.
